Podcast tips and Questions
Thank you so much for considering to be a guest on our podcast. Teresa and I are so excited, and we hope we get a chance to hear your story. This information will help you prepare and provide some details so you better understand how and why we do things. If at any time you have a question or suggestion, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Recording information & Checklist
Before we start recording, here are some tips for a successful recording experience.
The recording takes place using a video call, but only the audio will be used for the podcast. The video is only so we can see each other during the conversation.
Use headphones to prevent echo and increase audio quality.
If you are using a laptop computer, it’s recommended to connect the power cord during the recording.
Choose a room or location with as little background noise as possible. This can be caused by other people, heating/air-conditioning, appliances, and vehicles outdoors.
Close all other applications that don’t need to be open during the recording.
Pre-show Questions
Please let us know if you have answers to any of these questions ahead of time so we can prepare accordingly.
Is there anything you want to make sure we cover in our conversation? Everyone has a hall-of-fame and we want to spotlight the best parts of your story. We hope that the best parts of your story will come out naturally in conversation, but if you have something that you are especially proud of, we want to make sure and help you brag about it.
Is there anything you would like us to avoid when asking questions? The most important thing for us is that you enjoy our conversation on recording day. If there are topics or events that you would prefer we leave out of our conversation, we absolutely respect your choice and will guide the conversation accordingly. If at any time during (or after) the recording you are uncomfortable with the topic of conversation, please let one of us know, and that section will be edited out of the recording.
Do you have a preference when it comes to talking about your family? We love families and would love to talk with you about your cool people, but we also want to respect your privacy and will completely support your decision.
Conversation Questions
These are the questions we use to guide our conversation. You probably won’t hear all of them. Once the conversation gets going, we’ll follow your lead. We just want to be prepared.
